There’s so much stuff that you get access to once you’ve learned to speak English. There are throngs of TV shows, movies, books, music, and much more that I would have never even heard of had I not been studying at an international school. There are times when I can’t find any information for an assignment on the Czech internet, but a quick search in English gives me all the resources I need.

More important that any of that, though, is the amount and range of ideas and opinions I’ve been exposed to in the school’s community. I’ve learned that challenging my beliefs as well as the beliefs of others is a great way to learn something new and think about the world.
I’m currently studying Biomedical Technology and Bioinformatics at the Brno University of Technology, which is a programme that incorporates many different disciplines. I’ve always been interested in a lot of different things, from languages to sciences, and this interest has been sparked by great teachers. I guess there were just too many of them for me to narrow down my further studies to one subject.
