The continuation of student mobility and project activities this month continues with a week-long stay in Spain. Now, from the point of view of the culture and traditions of southern Andalusia. And we will soon welcome all partner countries in the Ostrava!

Objective: riding, new experiences, fun, adaptation to new environments and climatic conditions, friendship, support, Snowmen for Africa. Location: Saalbach Hinterglem, Austria Who: 44 skiers and boarders + 6 instructors

After a several-month break, another student mobility took place at a partner school near Nantes, France. Pupils were to meet pupils from other partner countries involved in the project again and get to know the educational and cultural environment of the organizing school.

This week, Project Based Learning Days at ISO –  the Prevention First! Through workshops and creative activities, students will prepare their group project on the topic of prevention of socio-pathological phenomena, human protection in emergencies, the principles of first aid and the basics of self-defense and much more connected with real life situations.

Recently, during a beautiful sunny weekend, two teams completed their adventurous journeys and successfully completed their Bronze and Silver Awards. Everything went according to plan and both in Pálava and in the Beskydy the groups met their goals and successfully reached the finish line!   #dofeczech #zazijdofe #matocenu #WorldReady

In December, another group of our students and students from other schools went to Prague to be awarded with their Bronze and Silver Awards within the Duke of Edinburgh´s International Award. Big congratulations!

Project Based Learning is a teaching method in which students gain knowledge and skills by working for an extended period of time to investigate and respond to an authentic, engaging, and complex question, problem, or challenge. This time the topic was LOVE and students answered the question „What’s love got do with it?“  

We understand the importance of real life and hands-on learning. Our expedition to South Africa is focusing on cultural awareness, community service and animal conservation.        

Students visited the blast furnace in Dolní Vítkovice based on their project from chemistry and physics. They improved their knowledge of production of crude iron and its further use in practice. An interesting part of this excursion was also a section devoted to the history of iron production in our region.

Students have tested the proteosynthesis within the biology lesson. The Game was made by experts from the Science and Technology Centrum. Thank you!
