The project from the OP JAK call „Templates for SŠ and VOŠ I“ is co-financed by the European Union.

The main objectives of the project:

• personal and social development of pupils and their support in the development of knowledge and skills using innovative forms of teaching and learning
• support for the professional growth of workers in secondary education

Support for the development of bilingual and foreign language teaching

In 2022, the school received a subsidy from the budget of the statutory city of Ostrava in the amount of CZK 322,000 to support the development of bilingual and foreign language teaching. The subsidy is used for the wages of qualified linguistically competent pedagogues from the Czech Republic. The subsidy is used in the period September 2022-June 2024.

The project is co-financed by the European Union
The main goal of the project is to increase the quality of teaching at the 1st International School of Ostrava – international gymnázium, s.r.o. and improve the applicability of school graduates on the labor market in key competencies – working with digital technologies, communication in foreign languages and natural sciences.
The subject of the project is the modernization of five classrooms (one science classroom and four multimedia classrooms).
The specific objectives of the project include:

• to modernize specialist classrooms by acquiring modern equipment;
• improve students‘ skills in working with modern technologies and teaching aids;
• to improve the quality of the background for teaching also for teaching staff;
• to make teaching at school more attractive;
• increase the success rate and improve the quality of preparation for university entrance exams;
• match the requirements of demand and supply in the labor market.
