I remember sitting in this café in London during my 1st year at University with few former ISO students thinking back to the high school time – what ISO meant to us. Up until then I never fully realised what those 4 years gave me. For me personally, ISO was an Opportunity. I got an opportunity to participate in an exchange program allowing me to go abroad and experience new cultures and meet new people. I got an opportunity to explore my creative side of me by working on a school magazine that I would otherwise never develop or even experience. I got an opportunity to be part of the IB Programme evolving and developing so many different skills. Those are only a few opportunities out of many ISO offered me.
I would like to give a huge shout out to all the staff who guided us through those 2 stressful, miserable and sleepless years of IB. Thinking of IB is giving me nightmares of having butt-load of academic work and deadlines. Nevertheless, more importantly it has helped me to be prepared not only for my further academic life but for my professional life, too.
Now I am a 3rd year student at one of the Edinburgh Universities completing my degree while undertaking a full-time placement job and I can say that all the sweat and hard work at ISO is paying off. ISO helped me grow as a human being and I will always be grateful for it.
