Cricket at 1st ISO | 2009-12-07
During the last few weeks there have been some great developments involving cricket being played in the Czech Republic. ISO has decided to be a part of this development and has so far had some great successes.
Much of the success came during a cricket tournament in Prague on the 3rd and 4th of November. Our school came 2nd overall and 5 of our students represented the Czech Republic in an official international match against Austria. This was a fantastic achievement for the boys, especially since it was the first time they had played against teams outside of the school. Well done!
The results from the tournament were:
Game 1 v ACC 1: we lost 87 – 10
Game 2 v Hungary 2 (Comenius): we won 34 – 22
Semi-final v ACC 2 – we won by forfeit
Final v ACC 1 – we lost 153 – 8 therefore we came 2nd in the tournament
Czech Schools Trophy – we lost to the English College of Prague 53 – 28
Congratulations to the seven boys who participated in the tournament!
